Overview

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class Saloon has been on sale since 2014, and is a popular sight on UK roads. With good reason – it looks good, has cutting-edge safety kit, the C-Class AMG Line features sports suspension, body-hugging sports seats and an AMG body kit. Satellite navigation, cruise control and dual-zone climate control is also thrown in, which makes the C-Class AMG Line feel very lavishly equipped.

As you’d expect from a firm famous for it, Mercedes-Benz C-Class Saloon safety is right at the top of its class. In Euro NCAP crash testing the C-Class has been awarded five stars out of five overall, standard equipment includes Attention Assist (which warns the driver if the car senses they’re tired) and Collision Prevention Assist Plus, which can autonomously brake the vehicle.

The body shell itself is constructed of far higher strength (yet lighter) metals than on the previous C-Class, which serves to mitigate the effects of any collision.
